Mr. Bruneman was licensed to practice law in Texas on October 30, 1981 at age 25. His first jury trial began on January 5, 1982 and he has been an active Texas trial lawyer continuously since then. Extensive experience at every level of trial court in this state, board certification in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, his years as partner in Dallas’s largest matrimonial law firm, and the patience and skills to effectively work with clients during the worst emotional times of their lives all combined gives Mr. Bruneman the credentials as a Family Law attorney that most attorneys do not possess.
During the initial consultation, Mr. Bruneman provides potential clients with an honest evaluation of their legal situation based upon the facts presented, as well as exploring the options available to resolve their situation. That resolution may come by way of agreement after negotiation including the use of alternative dispute resolution methods, or through aggressive litigation of the issues in court including a jury trial if necessary. The breakup of a marriage is traumatic under any circumstances and the wrong attorney representing one side or the other can add to the difficulty of the case. Mr. Bruneman makes every effort to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Not all attorneys understand the emotional side of divorce and treat these cases as just another civil suit. Divorce cases are anything BUT just “another civil suit”. He never forgets he works for the client, not vice versa, and he ensures that his clients are regularly kept informed of the status of their case and of all settlement offers and negotiations.
Attorneys are in the service industry and Mr. Bruneman understands this and makes himself available to serve his clients nearly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you need to contact him after his office closes, he’s almost always available by email or cell phone. You will have to search far and wide to find a harder working, more dedicated family law attorney in the state of Texas.
Mr. Bruneman is respected and well liked by his peers and judges across this state which enures to the benefit of his clients. He can be as intense in settlement negotiations as he can be in litigating a case in the courtroom, and he puts both sets of skills to good use weekly if not daily.
For six consecutive years, Mr. Bruneman received the honor of being named a Texas SuperLawyer by Law & Politics magazine published in October each year by Texas Monthly magazine. This award is given to the top 5% of all Texas attorneys as voted by their peers as well as by other important criteria.
